Productivity and quality are directly coupled: projects with high quality have high productivity and vice versa. User satisfaction and defect counts are also directly correlated.

The finding and fixing software defects (bugs) is historically the most expensive activity and will account for 50% of total costs over the product life time.

Companies providing 10 day or more of training per employee per year have higher productivity rates than similar companies who do not.

TIMO's methodologies are used as guideline, rather than rule. This allowes us to be flexible enough to accommodate any client's needs.

With every project, there are quick ways, slow ways, cheap ways, expensive ways, hard ways and easy ways to get to a result. While this is true, one has to concede that these results often differ considerably.

It is not our place, nor our nature to insist on a specific methodological approach to a project - we try as far as possible to adopt the client's corporate philosophies and approaches. We would, however, always advise clients on the traditionally correct way of doing things. After thogough consultation, an agreed approach is documented and used. This way, disruption on the client's side is minimised.

Our own processes are primarily overseen by Prince2 acredited project managers. Regardless of the scale or impact of a particular project, the basic components are always there:

Initiation, Design, Develop, Test, Implement and Support.
